Illustrator Ron Starr has been cultivating a strong imagination since a young age, using her experience, media, and the world around her as inspiration for her work. With a keen interest in the fantastical, she uses this to inspire her designs, while still keeping a warm sense of truth. With a passion for character and concept art, she follows narratives wherever they take her.
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU HAVE?
I've been creating art for clients since my teenage years. I have been drawing character designs commissions the longest, based on an online presence and through personal contacts. I've also painted a few traditional pieces for personal project work and as a commission.
WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN INSPIRATIONS?
I find the best place for inspiration for myself are stories; I can't stop the inspiration that a good narrative can bring, often leading to my free time sketching things influenced by stories I've read. My personal projects are usually inspired by fantasy and the impossible; as a sucker for a narrative I tend to create stories for everything I do.
